2008 February « Flickr SOS Project

The deadline for posting a photo is SUNDAY, MARCH 23, 2008.
After that day, posting will be closed to start the second phase of the project.

In this second phase, administrators of the group will make a pre-selection of photos, choosing a certain number of pics that they think can become finalists. This preselection is made to reduce the pool for the final choice. Please, don’t be angry if your photo will be discarded… we’d like to publish every photo, but it’s impossible!
Then, thanks to a website and a voting system (details will come at the right moment) all the users will be able to vote their favorites. The photos most voted will be published on the book, after the explicit and final consent of their authors.

Please note that the consent will be necessary to avoid copyright problems and to preserve the intellectual property of the pics.
For the consent will be asked to all the finalist authors to provide their: real name and surname, date and place of birth, flickr name, flickr address, email. Those informations (except for date & place of birth and email, that will be kept secret and trated confidentially) are important also because they’ll appear on the book; so every photo will be associated to his author. There will be also a system to provide an high quality version of the choosen photo, in case of its flickr version it would be a low-bitrate one.
If you already know that you won’t agree with these conditions, please remove immediately your photo from the group and do not let it arrive at the phase of selection.

La scadenza finale per postare una foto è DOMENICA 23 MARZO 2008. Dopo quella data, il posting verrà chiuso ed inizierà la seconda fase del progetto.

In questa seconda fase, gli amministratori del gruppo inizieranno a fare una preselezione delle foto, scegliendo quelle che ritengono possano accedere alla fase finale. Questa preselezione viene fatta per ridurre il pool per la scelta finale. Perfavore non arrabiatevi se la vostra foto verrà scartata: vorremmo pubblicare tutte le foto, ma è impossibile!
Successivamente, grazie ad un sito web e ad un sistema di voto (i dettagli arriveranno al momento opportuno) tutti gli utenti potranno votare le loro preferite. Le foto più votate saranno pubblicate sul libro, dopo il consenso esplicito e finale dei loro autori.

Perfavore osservate che il consenso è necessario per evitare problemi di copyright e per salvaguardare la proprietà intelletuale delle opere. Per il consenso, agli autori finalisti sarà richiesto di fornire il proprio: nome e cognome reali, luogo e data di nascita, nome flickr, indirizzo flickr, email. Queste informazioni (eccetto per il luogo e la data di nascita e per l’email, che saranno mantenute riservate) sono anche importanti perché appariranno sul libro accanto alle foto, in modo da garantire la paternità delle opere a tutti gli autori. Ci sarà anche un sistema per fornire una versione ad alta qualità della propria foto, nel caso quella postata su flickr sia una versione a basso bitrate.
Se già qualcuno di voi sa che non accetterà queste condizioni, perfavore rimuova immediatamente la sua foto dal gruppo, in modo da evitare di farla arrivare alla fase finale di selezione.
